Operating in the fields of road safety and driver training, IATA becomes the first ·¬ÇÑÊÓƵmember in Iraq.
Established in 1927, IATA is also responsible for issuing the International Driving License and the Carnet de Passage en Douane to drivers in Iraq.

In addition to its activities at the national level, IATA is also an active member of the F¨¦d¨¦ration Internationale de l¡¯Automobile (the International Automobile Federation), l¡¯Alliance Internationale du Tourisme (the International Tourism Alliance) and the Arab Council of Touring and Automobile Clubs.
IATA joins ·¬ÇÑÊÓƵin promoting road safety and advocating the interests of the road transport sector.
